Boy "OH" Boy

Well it's been quite some time since I last posted on my blog! I want to get back in the groove.  I thought I would start by sharing some pictures of the baby shower I hosted over the weekend. This is for baby "K" and he will be making his debut in early January. I can't wait for this little nugget to get here!! I didn't want to do the typical blue baby shower so I opted for black and white.

Painting with Glitter!

I woke up today and had a desire to paint some pumpkins! I wanted to do something a little fancy! Im addicted to glitter and so I thought that would be perfect! I got one small white pumpkin and a small orange one. The products I used you can see here...

I don't know what I would do without Martha!! I just took the glitter glue and freehanded my designs on my pumpkins. They are not perfect, but I guess thats what you get when they are homemade.

After I painted my design I just sprinkled glitter all over the glue until it was covered really well. Shake all the excess glitter off your pumpkin. Enjoy!!! Here are the ones I did.

Halloween Is so much better with glitter!!

Fall Is In The Air!!!

Happy fall!! This might have been one of the most beautiful days ever. The sun was shining and the air was cool. It  was a great day to try a new recipe. I've been wanting to bake some desserts in a jar. I thought I would represent the time of year and try some apple pies!! They actually turned out really good.

My Recipe:
4 Fugi apples peeled and cored
1 package Pilsbury pie crust ( I cheated with the crust)!!
4 half pint mason jars
1/2 cup white sugar
1/4 cup brown sugar
1 tbsp. flour
1tbsp. cinnamon

Preheat your oven to 375. Peel and core your apples. I chopped mine into pretty small pieces, set aside. You can add some lemon juice to them so they don't brown too quick. I did not use it though.Take your jar lid and cut a circle out of the crust and line the bottom of the jar. I tore pieces of crust and coated the sides of the jar also. Mix the white sugar, brown sugar, cinnamon and flour. Pour over chopped apples and make sure you coat them well. Stuff as much of the mixture as you can in the jar. Then cut another circle with the jar lid and lay on top of the jar. I tried doing a decorative edge. I put mine on a cookie sheet and in the oven for about 45 minutes. Just keep an eye on them so the crust doesn't get too brown. Enjoy!!!!

I hope this makes it in your tummy. They were delish!!

Just A Reminder

This week has been "one of those weeks". I needed a little reminder to be patient(this is not one of my strong points)! I met a great woman today who made me think about things and the way they all fall into place. While I do believe this to be true, it's not always easy to remember. Good things happen tho those who wait. I needed a little inspiration and I found this. I hope you have a happy Friday!!
